This text has a different approach than those from the previous century, and it's most notable for the large number of sketches and photographs of Rome and its environs, and the items that would have been common in earlier times. It also has "...thirteen cultural essays in English [that] help to bring out the social values of the classical studies."
The textbook itself is in need of some light conservation, and if it were not for the occasional notes in pencil, would be otherwise considered to be in good condition.
It's certainly worthy for continuing education in Latin, if you should happen upon it as a used book somewhere.
