This is a great book with a gifted author who writes at a spiritual level. This is not what you might consider to be any sort of a traditional travel log about The country of Spain. The book is divided into two parts the first part being his confessions about his reactions to various cities in Spain. The second part is an emotional first person account of the Spanish revolution especially focusing on Madrid. This is probably a five star book but my own personal ability to connect with the author was not a match with this writer. ( )
