Courtney Milne, born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is internationally acclaimed for his portraits of the landscape. He has photographed in more than fifty countries and has presented multimedia concerts and print exhibitions around the globe. His other books include The Sacred Earth, Spirit of the Land, Visions of the Goddess, W.O. Mitchell Country show more (released in 1999), and a series on the Canadian Prairies. In 1993, Milne was awarded the National Association for Photographic Art's Gold Medal for Distinction in Canadian Photography. Active in the environmental movement for most of his career, Milne has spent much of the past decade traveling the world and recording his impressions of the Earth's sacred places. He lives with his partner and collaborator, Sherrill Miller, on an acreage near Saskatoon.
