1899. Holmes and Watson are called in by Mycroft to investigate because a packet has been stolen from a diplomatic courier. As their investigation proceeds people are soon attacked, but then a body is discovered. Can Holmes and friends solve the case.
Another enjoyable and well-written Victorian mystery i this series, with its group of likeable characters. ( )

Lots of moving parts in this episode as the whole Holmes Team participates. Spys and disguises galore as an early attempt at a weapon of mass destruction must be recovered and neutralized. That much of the action revolves or around the fabled reading room at the center of the National Library. ( )
