I really enjoyed this clean, small town romance. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review this story. I've given this a 5* rating and wouldn't mind reading more about this couple. Guess I'll need to read more of this series. Both the hero and the heroine are going through personal stuff and they end up helping each other to make a difference in their lives. While the sparks fly, they go back and forth with Love me, Love me not feelings for each other. Meanwhile, both of their lives are busier than ever. It does have a good ending and I'm on to my next read. ( )

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

I love it when a book captures my attention within the first few pages and that is just what Love Blooms did. Ethan decides to go to Bluestar Island when his mom calls him about his aunt needing help. He has been to the island many times throughout the years and his aunt has been good to him, and after all, he just extended his leave from the fire department after a horrific accident placed him off from work. What can it hurt to go stay at the island for a while? But Ethan wasn’t expecting to meet Hannah there.

In Jennifer Faye’s usual style, she writes another amazing sweet story that will leaving you swooning for quite some time. I love her characters, especially Ethan and Hannah, and the supporting characters make up for a lot of fun in this story. I love Aunt Birdie, even though she is meddlesome! She brings so much fun and humor to the story I am glad Faye thought of creating her. The island is a place I would love to live. Small town, friendly people, the beach anytime you want to go. What’s not to like? If you enjoy a good summer beach read that will keep you laughing and having fun, this is an amazing read for you. Love Blooms by Jennifer Faye gets Five Stars from me!

A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255. ( )

Love Blooms by Jennifer Faye has so many of the elements I love about small town romance. A well-running rumor mill? Check. A tight-knit community? Check. A hero and heroine you cheer for getting to together? Check, check, and check.

Hannah is sweet and caring and you can’t help but want all the good things for her. I even understood her propensity to not want to accept help from others. Ethan is a good match for her as he somehow slips under her determination to do everything herself while both encouraging her and challenging her to see herself as others do.

While the plot is somewhat predictable (but really, contemporary romance has a formula or Hallmark movies wouldn’t so popular, right?), the island of Bluestar captivated me with its charm, residents, and gorgeous views. Who wouldn’t want to live there…or at least visit?

And I’m very curious to see who will get their HEA in the next book in the series because there are so many characters I’m rooting for already. If you’re looking for a quick summer read you can escape into, look no further.

Disclosure statement: I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own. ( )

One of the main things I love about small town settings is when great storytelling makes me feel like I’m part of the community. It’s as if I’ve visited Bluestar, fell in love, and didn’t want to leave.

Love Blooms is a sweet romance that is clean, engaging, and satisfying. I love Ethan, Hannah, and the townsfolk. It’s not just the people that make this story come to life, but the town itself. Perhaps because I watch a lot of HGTV and DIY fixer-upper shows, the bakery renovation adds extra spark to this story, and the town festival is delightful.

Ultimately, this is a sweet love story between Ethan and Hannah. Its effortless to feel their chemistry, past heartaches, and mutual love of family. I journeyed along with them, urging them to heal, connect, trust, overcome, and fall in love. Ahh… isn’t that all you can ask for?

This was a fantastic story, to what I hope will be a series. Bluestar Island sounds like a place that would be great to visit. Hannah is busy renovating for her bakery opening by the time May (and the summer vacationers arrival) begins. Ethan's great aunt is a long time resident of the island. After a fall, he arrives to care for her small home and adorable pup. Both Ethan and Hannah are nursing old hurts, some physical, some emotional. The two hit it off, helped a bit by the machinations of an elderly lady in rehab and her island buddies. I liked the preparations for the festival and descriptions of the events. A really great small town romance. ( )
