159. Democracy Reborn, by Henry A. Wallace (read 26 Aug 1944) When this book came into my hands on August 12, 1944, I said: Looks wonderful, Has speeches by Wallace from 1933 to 1944. I wonder if I'll like it as well as I think I will. On Aug 14 I said: Didn't get started on this book yet. My Dad is reading it and he likes it and I will too. On Aug 15 I said: Started reading Democracy Reborn. Requires a lot of concentration. On Aug 26 I said: I finished Democracy Reborn, Russell Lord's collection of Henry Wallace's speeches. Very good, although more of a parts book as the speeches don't interlock.
