Even though this book was published in 1988, it's still extremely relevant. Flaphan could have written it as a dry historical account of the unfolding of the conflict, but instead he chose to acknowledge and respond to what he calls the "propaganda structures" that have obstructed the peace process for so long, and the result is a book that is much more approachable for non-historians.
