Guia de Ouro Preto

Born in Recife, Brazil, in 1886, Manuel Bandeira was raised in Rio de Janeiro and Ceara. He began to write poetry at an early age. In 1917 he selected some of his poems and published them under the title A Cinza das horas, which became an instant success.
