December 1892 Inspector Ravenscroft is asked for help by Maisie Stebbins as her husband, an old friend, has been accused of the murder of his uncle Stebby, a Bromsgrove bookseller. Accused as he was found next to the body very soon after the killing. But this will not be the last death.
