Description

It all started with an anonymous letter. He wasn't supposed to find it--no one was. And he definitely wasn't supposed to answer it. We end up talking through letters and sticky notes in a book. One sticky note. Two sticky notes. Ten sticky notes. All baring our darkest, deepest secrets. It's all fun and games until I find out who my pen pal is....

Xavier and Aveena have known each other for a long time, yet Aveena is so used to blending in that she is almost invisible and has distanced herself away from the in crowd. They both come from a background where those who are supposed to love and care for them the most are the ones that take advantage and manipulate them the most. They both suffer and hurt in ways that is heartbreaking that I felt so bad for both so many times throughout the book. One mistaken letter hidden in the pages of a poetry book that leads to undeniable chemistry, mystery, and pen pals that creates a bond between these two that is hard to deny starts it all. Vee aka Aveena has always been the disappointment to her mother so she is always is living in the shadows show more doing what her mother tells her to do constantly and is berated for being different and Xavier finds himself in a difficult situation because he doesn’t know where to turn or what to do this leads to the anonymous letters becoming a haven for them to commiserate together. As their bond forms and becomes more they know it is inevitable before they discover who the other is and this leads to a lot of drama in the form of family, friends, peer pressure, and crazy exes. These two are meant to be together but does fate have different plans for them? Can they fight for each other or be doomed to succumb to other’s wills? Will they be there for each other in the end or risk it all to save face? This is a new to me author and I loved the way she created an angst filled book but let us see deep into the hearts of the main characters and I want to read more!!! show less
