I love all the things that Eva invents and of course I love what God has invented. This is a wonderful book to read to young children and I think older children would enjoy reading this to themselves as they learn to read. I received a copy of this book from Waterbrook and Multnomah for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will. ( ) 5 stars, Beautiful book THE INVENTIONS OF GOD (AND EVA) by Dave Connis Published by Waterbrook Multnomah In this beautiful children's book, the wondrously invented world that God has created is explained by Eva, a young inventor who has lots of almost creations. God has created big things and small things and Eva keeps on trying to invent small things like a wooden robot. Eva thinks her earliest inventions lacked dazzle and pizazz, while all of God's creations have dazzle and pizazz. It's a charming book that has a strong positive inspirational message. Highly recommend. With much gratitude, I received a complimentary copy of #theinventionsofGodandEva from #waterbrookpress #waterbrookmultnomah I was under no obligation to post a review. #2021newrelease #childrens #inspirational I love how this book teaches that we are all created in God's image and that we are his sons and daughters. And although Eva's creations that she loves to invent aren't quite as those of God's, it shows that we can all do things of value and things that bring joy to ourselves and others. And sometimes as humans we need to try and try again to make things just a little better each time. And sometimes the things she/we invent are not all that great. But not to give up! We are still OK! I think this book shares and teaches lots of good values. And not to give up if we are not perfect on the first try. Just keep trying and that God is there for us! I received a copy of this book from Waterbrook and Multnomah and was not required to write a positive review. All thoughts are my own. no reviews | add a review

This delightfully illustrated picture book tells the story of inventor extraordinaire Eva-and the God who created her to be a lot like Him. Little Eva is a budding engineer who loves to invent machines, toys, and robots that bring her joy. But where does her curiosity, creativity, and pizzazz come from? Meet God. He loves to invent, too, and delights in His creations, especially Eva. God and Eva are A LOT alike because God made Eva to be just like Him. Eva loves her inventions, but maybe not their earlier versions. God loves Eva, every version of her, and He wants her to know just how much. Parents and children alike will relish the playful illustrations and the gentle reminder that the image of God is alive in each of us. No library descriptions found. |
