What a read!!! Author Marjorie Margolies shares in honest straightforward fashion her experiences of raising a blended family. This blended family is multicultural, multiracial, and as she says on the cover: "...a family of adopted, homegrown, step, and sponsored kids." She chronicles her life journeys with her children as a single mom - making history when she adopted (as a single woman) her first daughter, Lee Heh. and then her second daughter - Ho Thi Tu Hga (age 6) from Vietnam who became Holly Margolies. Marjorie shares lessons learned as a full time mom, a working mom in the spotlight and a nationally known TV news reporter, then Congresswoman, philanthropist, campaign participant in her husband's campaigns, etc.
I wish I had show more known some of her seeds of wisdom when I became a mom. Enjoy the read! show less
