Les actes du colloque La traversée France-Angleterre du Moyen Âge à nos jours sont le fruit du travail d’une vingtaine d’universitaires européens, tous spécialistes du thème proposé. Pouvait-il en être autrement ? Le Calaisis se devait de présenter la traversée de la Manche par Louis Blériot et les colloques du Calaisis devaient y contribuer d’autant qu’ils ont privilégié depuis 1993 les thèmes des déplacements, de la frontière, des conflits, des échanges.
