Not her best, tbh. I have read and enjoyed Amy Fletcher's other Chalet School fill-ins, but with this one I felt something lacking. There is a lot of information about the War and some details about how life would have felt for people at the time. She also includes information about Guiding activities, and gardening. I'm not quite sure what I was expecting, but I felt a little disappointed.
