First words
Puzzled and uneasy, Tommy Stafford measured out cow feed in the shed behind the parsonage. In all his twelve years he could not remember such a quiet morning. Why weren't Mother and Father talking? They usually chattered like... (show all) magpies before Father went to the tiny study and worked on his next sermon. Fourteen-year-old Celia was not up yet, or she would have questioned the silence in her impulsive way.
Last words
(Click to show. Warning: May contain spoilers.)As he sat listening to the Word of God, Tommy could see that God was blessing the Stafford family's mission in America. Their first conversion was under way.
