Tweezle the mouse never laughs or smiles-she's too busy working to prepare for winter while the other mice frolic and play. But Tweezle and her friends help one another - she shows them the value of hard work while they teach her that laughter can make work more fun!

All I remember about this book is that I liked it. We had several books in this series, and while I don't remember which ones they were now, I do remember enjoying them all.

My mom read me these books as a child and as such, I have a particular endearment for them. When I found these seven in a book shop, and realized I hadn't read any of them, I snagged them, eager to read more of these favorite stories.
Unfortunately, these seven tended towards the sappy and simple, instead of the imaginative and adventurous of the ones my Mom read. Perhaps she picked the best ones. Perhaps it is my own glossy memory of childhood. But the ones like Muffin Muncher, Wheedle on the Needle, Maui-Maui, and The Savepotmus are better. Still, owning these is important to me and I am glad I have them. ( )

The Serendipity version of Aesop's "The Grasshopper and the Ants" although they all belong to the same species. The story is short, simple and to the point. And in a sense I was able to relate to Tweezle who didn't know how to have fun.

The illustrations are some of the best in the series in my opinion.... ( )

One of my absolute favorites of the entire series. I think of this little mouse all the time. ( )
