En herlig finsk røverhistorie! Arto Paasilinna er en forfatter jeg først nylig har gjort meg kjent med, og jeg er helt betatt!

Dette er den beste boka av ham jeg hittil har lest. Historien står ikke til troende, men det er en uvesentlig detalj. Paasilinna skriver godt, og historien er gjennomsyret av en fandenivoldsk humor. Helt herlig!
Petit malfrat sans envergure, Rafael Juntunen se retrouve à la tête d'une véritable fortune en lingots d'or à la suite d'un hold-up dont il sort indemne mais pas ses deux camarades du crime. Pour eux la prison, pour lui la liberté. Et il ne s'inquiète pas trop Rafael, il profite de sa toute récente fortune, astucieusement cachée sous un tas de fumier, à l'abri des murs de sa ferme en Vehmersalmi. O libro conta a historia dun ladrón que, víctima da súa cobiza, decide fuxir ao máis profundo de Laponia para evitar compartir o botín dun roubo cos seus cómplices. Unha vez alá trabará amizade (por chamalo dalgún xeito) cun alcólico oficial do exército que traballará para el no seu exilio lapón. O bosque dos raposos aforcados é o primeiro título publicado pola nova editorial Rinoceronte, un proxecto moi interesante que pretende ofrecer ao mercado galego un catálogo de traducións de obras estranxeiras similar ao que teñen en lingua española Tusquets ou Anagrama. Por certo, merquei o libro directamente na tenda en liña da editorial e estou moi contento coa atención recibida (e cos gastos de envío de balde tamén :P)

Der kleine Gauner Juntunen hat bei seinem größten Coup eine ernorme Menge Goldes erbeutet; seine Komplizen hat er auffliegen lassen. Doch er fürchtet, dass zumindest einer von ihnen, ein berüchtigter Mörder, ihn nach seiner Entlassung aus dem Gefängnis aufspüren wird. Sicherheitshalber zieht sich Juntunen mit seinem Gold in die Einöde Nordfinnlands zurück. Dort trifft er den zum Säufer gewordenen Major Remes, der sich nach einem völlig chaotischen Manöver vom Dienst hat suspendieren lassen. Arto Paasilinna was born on April 20, 1942 in the Alakylä part of the municipality of Kittilä, in Lapland, Finland. Arto Paasilinna studied at the General and Elementary School Line at the Lapland Folk Academy. He initially worked as a journalist at Nuoren Voiman Liitto, Nuori Voima-lehti and various newspapers as writer and editor. At the show more weekly magazine Apu, he was an editor from 1968 - 1970 and later a columnist from 1975 - 1988. In 1975 he wrote The Year of the Hare in response to his feeling that journalism was becoming superficial and meaningless. The book was an immediate success and from 1975 on Paasilinna became an independent writer. He still writes journalism articles and has been a columnist on Finnish radio. In 2002, for Paasilinna's 60th anniversary, journalist Eino Leino published a biography of Paasilinna called Lentojätkä. Arto Paasilinnan elämä" ("The Flight Dude"). The same year Paasilinna published his own autobiography called Yhdeksän unelmaa ("Nine Night's Dream"). As of 2009, Paasilinna has published about 12 non-fiction books and 35 novels, with almost one novel each year from 1972 to 2009. Paasilinna's books reflect quite common Finnish life, usually from a middle-aged male perspective, and in rural Finland. His title Year of the Hare made the New York Times Best Seller list for 2011.
