Freaky Stuff is the sequel to and very similar to it’s better predecessor Weird Stuff. Middle-schooler Brian Hobble is once again caught in a situation over which he has little control but must somehow figure out how to deal. Brian’s younger brother is over the moon about a mindless TV adaptation of one of Brian’s favorite book series – Zombie Squad. Brian has to figure out how to protect his little brother and, as only Tulloch could conceive, it is Brian’s fear of heights, his awful performance in a juice drink commercial, and the help of a very sweet peer of Brian’s younger brother that combine in Freaky Stuff to help Brian save the day. Both of the “Stuff” books remind one of Captain Underpants or Wimpy Kid although show more Tulloch’s content and humor is much more sophisticated. That said, I’m not sure how much tween appeal there is for leisure reading. Either book, but particularly the first, would make interesting recommendations to Language Arts teachers for their clever writing.

2nd book in series but you don’t need to read the first. Brian wants to be an author & her corresponds with a visiting author about the strange brainwashing of his little brother from watching a TV show. (A show, incidentally based on the author in questions’ best selling novel Zombie Squad. It all comes to a horrible messy end at a shopping center pantomine where Brian’s little brother attacks the actors on stage!p.78-82Madeline’s little brother Sebastian is Brian’s buddy and they notice him crying.
This is a fun novel about a boy calded Brain and all the funny, freaky stuff that has happened to him in his life. I reccomend this book how like a good laugh.
Now I will review Freaky Stuff by Richard Tulloch. Freaky Stuff is about a kid who has to teach his younger brother that fighting is wrong! Can he get his brother to learn the lesson before it's too late? I recommend this book to everyone!
