I loved the story of Charlie, a woman recovering from an emotionally abusive relationship, and her forbidden romance with Emerson Grant, her ex-boyfriend’s father, was captivating. As Charlie navigates her newfound journey into BDSM and praise kink, the emotional depth and character growth resonate with me. The chemistry between Charlie and Emerson is intense, and the slow-burn dynamic kept me hooked. Narrators Jack Callahan and Vivienne LaRue did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life, especially with their dynamic performances; each emotion and nuance came through perfectly. Their narration truly enhanced the story, making it even more immersive. Highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys complex characters, emotional show more growth, and a touch of spice! show less
This book is all kinds of hot and I adore it. It's well written, kinky and a beautiful kind of spicy with a good ending. Thanks to this book I discovered I have a praise kink and I look forward to reading the rest in the series!
Charlotte Underwood and Emerson Grant

Review:
Bring. It. On. Charlotte literally embodies "If he's a bad boyfriend who comes from money, go get his dad." First, I'd like to bring attention to SC for writing the FMC in the first book of a series as a full bodied woman - not a thin model but a REAL, everyday human. The entire story becomes insanely relatable from the beginning for those readers who have a belly - Confidence booster for anyone who reads it!

Quotes:
"You don’t need me to tell you what you want. I want to hear it from you. You deserve pleasure just as much as I do, and trust me, I want nothing more than to hear you utter the dirtiest words, and then I want to do whatever it is you say. So say it.”

All that this was missing that I wanted was her becoming a stepmother to that little shit Beau. I know he must have some character development because he got his own book but goodness he was intolerable. The trouble with dating your son's ex girlfriend is when he inevitably finds out about it. I was curled into myself in secondhand embarrassment and horror.

Now as far as Emerson and Charlie go, hot. I liked that he never talked down to her for not knowing the ins and outs of his business. She wanted to learn and he walked her through everything. The flirting and foreplay was top notch. I could have used a little more praise in a book called Praise but overall I enjoyed it. My husband bought all four so I'm planning to work my way through show more the series. show less
