First Knight: A Novelization

This is a very well-written novelization of the film ''First Knight''. Elizabeth Chadwick proves that she knows how to treat characters, how to write in a beautiful, poignant way. She has managed to create a memorable work, breathing life and sympathy into the characters of Guinevere, Arthur and Lancelot, unlike the film itself which, in my humble opinion, it is flat out horrible as a narration and with a casting that is almost an abomination...Toss the film and read the novelization as if it is another version of the Arthurian legend. Having done the mistake to watch the film first and read the novel later, the only negative thing was that, while I was reading, I couldn't erase Gere's pestilent, expressionless, ugly face from my mind.

A lot romance, a lot of historical fiction, all rolled up into one beautiful story. Elizabeth Chadwick is the Queen of historical fiction and can take dry history and turn it into a beautiful novel. This is the novel for romance lovers.

If you like King Arthur and Camelot, this book is well worth the read. New books or old books, if it is written by Elizabeth Chadwick, you can be assured they are super!
