Description

"Being the only female owner of the Salacious Players' Club, Maggie Anderson thought her life was hard enough. But as the club continued to grow, she felt more and more on the outskirts as the only one who didn't have a kink. Or so she thought... When she takes a kink quiz on the club's new app and learns that she's a Domme, she realizes that she might not be quite so vanilla after all. In fact, she's a lot more like her colleague, Emerson Grant, than she thought. There's just one show more problem-she doesn't know how to be a Domme. Or she didn't, until the app matched her with someone willing to learn. But he's too young. Too stubborn. Too good looking. And, to top it off, Emerson's son. Beau Grant is a brat. And Maggie would hate that about him it if she didn't love punishing him so much. Yet she's beginning to see that underneath his attitude, Beau is misunderstood, self-less, and in need of direction. But if it's mercy he's after, he'll have to earn it first. She finally knows what she wants, and she's ready to take it"-- show less

I was pleasantly surprised by the fourth book in the Salacious Players’ Club series. Initially hesitant about the reverse age gap and Domme/sub dynamic, I was captivated by Maggie's empowering journey. Sara Cate skillfully delves into Maggie's exploration of her dominant side, portraying her as a fierce and confident Domme. Beau's transformation from a brat to a respectful man under her guidance was beautifully depicted. The story's unique romance, engaging characters, and emotional depth hooked me. I admired Maggie's strength and loved how Sara Cate seamlessly blended the erotic elements with profound self-discovery. The book's empowering portrayal of a female Domme and the characters' transformative journey made it a compelling and show more satisfying story. show less
This one from the series hit it out of the park! I absolutely loved Beau and Maggie both separately and as a couple. These two feel like real, flawed people unlike the previous books where the characters felt so perfect.

Once I started Praise, I couldn't wait for Maggie's story, even more so when I read it was Beau's redemption arc. With learning more about what went down with Beau, Emerson, and Charlie from Beau's point-of-view, I feel even more annoyed by Emerson and Charlie. I said it in the Praise review and will repeat it here, yes, Beau was wrong to treat Charlie the way he did. But once Charlie met Emerson, the way they both treated Beau is quite appalling. I just want to shake them asking them what they are thinking.

Again, I show more absolutely love Maggie and Beau's relationship and the arc of their story was so wonderful and heartwarming and I'm going to admit it I cried so many times during this book. Their dynamic just worked so well and I loved every second of it. show less
I can't believe this series is over now from the moment I read book one, Praise, I knew this was gonna be an amazing series that not only showcased amazing couples and dynamics but the BDSM community. I love that the series has essentially come full circle.

Beau played a small part in book one where he had issues with his father and it seemed by the end they were coming to terms and healing and he didn’t seem as disgusted by the fact his father ran a BDSM club.

Maggie seemed like she wasn’t too interested in the lifestyle and was just part owner because they all decided to put a business together so when I found out she was gonna have her own story I was excited.

In the quest to pursue and finding out what each wanted and desired show more they grew into something so much more than what had been planned.

By far my favorite quote had to be: "I'm going to use you, Beau. In fact, when you're here, you're not Beau anymore. We are not friends or lovers or acquaintances. You are my property to do whatever I want with, and if you deserve it, I'll punish you. It will hurt, and I'll try to make sure you don't enjoy it. But if you earn it, I'll reward you, and I'll make sure you do like it.”

I can’t recommend the Salacious Players Club series or Sara Cate in general more to anyone. I’ll admit I’m an easy 5 star reader I only have four major things that have to be hit for me to 5 star a book, but to be a 5 star author or series to me is a lot more difficult and so far this year I’ve only found 4 and Sara is at the top 2 spot.

Ok, don't get me wrong, this one was a good book. The writing is consistent with the others in the series, I still love Salacious and all of the characters, but... well, I don't really love Beau and Maggie. I don't know if I just don't care about them enough to really want to read about them, or if the tropes/k1nks were just not really my thing... but this was my least favorite in the series and one that I would most likely skip on future rereads.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't read it! We all have such unique tastes, especially when it comes to this type of book, that I do think everyone should make their own determination. Some of you will LOVE it and hate my faves (Give Me More and Highest Bidder) and others will just love it all! show more But be sure to check TWs to make sure and take care of yourself first! show less
Not sure how a book about a domme made me cry, but it did
Beau. You are such a little shit.
Maggie Anderson and Beau Grant

Review:
I did not see this one coming! I love this for Maggie so much! If you have started the SPC series, now is not the time to walk away!

Quotes:
“With her back to me, still in a state of panic and her chest heaving from the intensity of our kiss, I keep my eyes on her as I slowly lower to my knees."
“Being a brat is only fun for so long because sometimes the punishment really fucking sucks. My ass is still sore and bruised with the proof of that fact.”
