A boy drowns and sends the family into so much grief. The family moves and the father starts spouting bible verses and he builds a church. He’s so upset that he really does not think things through. In the end it really doesn’t matter.

His remaining 2 children are swept up in all the feelings of the father and yet they find an ally in the sheriff. A book on love and grieving.
