An absolutely magnificant coffee table book, portraying the scope of the American movie industry through the lens of one man's biography. Beautiful photographs, full treatment of Gone with the Wind, analysis of politics of the major motion picture companies.
An outstanding book, but contains errors concerning the production of KING KONG due to Haver's reliance on Merian C. Cooper's recollections and anecdotes.

FIRST EDITION includes an insert of the KONG 1933 premiere program.
