Description

"Momo Ayase and Okarun are on opposite sides of the paranormal spectrum regarding what they'll believe in and what they won't. Their quest to prove each other wrong leads them down a path of secret crushes and paranormal battles they'll have to participate in to believe! Momo Ayase strikes up an unusual friendship with her school's UFO fanatic, whom she nicknames "Okarun" because he has a name that is not to be said aloud. While Momo believes in spirits, she thinks aliens are nothing but show more nonsense. Her new friend, meanwhile, thinks the exact opposite. To settle matters, the two set out to prove each other wrong--Momo to a UFO hotspot and Okarun to a haunted tunnel! What unfolds next is a beautiful story of young love...and oddly horny aliens and spirits?"-- show less

Momo Ayase, who lives with her spiritualist grandmother, believes in ghosts and the supernatural. Ken Takakura, a quiet nerdy guy at her school, believes in aliens. The two decide to compete to see which one is right.

Turns out, they both are.

Ken, whom Momo dubs "Okarun," gets possessed by the Turbo Granny ghost and his testicles are stolen by aliens as a power source. Using Okarun's new ghostly powers and Momo's own psychic abilities, the two band together to try and get Okarun back to normal.

Sounds super weird--and kinda is--but absolutely a hilarious, wild ride. Still ongoing.
This series has been all over my Goodreads feed this year, with several different friends ripping through the volumes. FOMO started kicking in, so I thought I'd give the first volume a try.

And it's a pretty solid paranormal dramedy, with two school kids -- middle school? high school? I dunno -- getting mixed up with yokai and aliens for some wacky yet dangerous adventures. There's some fan service in the early chapters with the underage girl that's discomfiting, but it seems to taper off toward the end of the book.

The characters are fun, and I'll probably try a few more volumes sometime, but there are already 20 volumes and counting, and I'm not sure that's a mountain I'm ready to scale.

What the F did I just read. This story is at times hard to follow and a tad bit disturbing. At the same time you want to know what happens next. It’s like the car crash you can’t look away from. I’m not even sure where the title comes from. You have two characters. One is a popular girl, and the other is a geeky nerdy boy. They end up stuck together because of UFOs and evil spirits. They must find a way to work together, exercise the Demons, and not get tortured. The beginning of this book is very rapey. There is no rape but it’s very rapey. Plus, the emphasis on schlongs, the having and not having of them, as well as the quite frequent gratuitous semi naked girl who is supposed to be in high school is a bit much for this show more reader. I like the story when it’s being crazy, I don’t like the story when it’s being unnecessarily sexual because it’s done in such a way as being degrading to women. I am interested enough to see what happens in book 2 to see where this goes, but if I’m more storylines doesn’t start taking shape this will be a short series. show less

If you can get through the weirdness of the first story in here, the others don't seem quite as insane. Might need trigger warnings for some, but I found it entertaining enough. Enjoyed the artwork too. Would read more in the series.
really good introduction to the series, the s/a scene could have been done a lot better but it is essential for the story (plot-wise) obviously, if it isn't your thing i recommend you do not read this

I really liked the art style and the character designs of the main characters. Unfortunately the sex stuff was just too weird to me, and it didn't really have any unique features to set it apart from any other shonen series, so I won't be continuing it.
a arte é linda e algumas ideias são bem interessantes mas esse é um daqueles shonen que eu não tanko mais: o que usa assédio toda hora de forma gratuita
