Very sweet rhyming text and peek-a-boo illustrations with fun things to talk about on each page. I did find the last page had disturbingly red lips, but it's possible the color was off on my copy?
My 9-month-old loves this book, and the companion, 'Whose Toes Are Those?' The rhymes are simple, the language is warm & fun, and the story never fails to keep the kid's attention. The book is in question form, following a central mystery ('whose toes are those?') building up suspense. [return][return]The illustrations are charming. My baby spontaneously leaned forward to plant a 'kiss' (well, open-mouthed embrace) on the full two-page illustration of the possessor of the knees.

This is a book about a little boy and his knees. Throughout the book it talks about what things he can do with these knees and at the end you find out that the knees belong to a special little boy sitting on his mom's lap.
My opinion is that it a special book that a mother can read to her little boy to let him know what he means to her.
As you read this book you can ask questions to the children like Who knees do you think they belong too? What color are your knees? And reference to what color are the knees of the little boy?
