Description

A socially awkward bobcat shifter. An ex-cheerleading vampire. A sweet-but slightly neurotic-cupcake-baking witch. They fight crime. Hazel Greenwood's always been a late bloomer. At twenty eight, she's finally close to completing her Green Witch apprenticeship at Granny Sage's magical bakery. And she's even found herself a decent boyfriend. Take that, shallow Beige Witch mom and sisters who've always sneered down their contoured noses because her magic is more than skin deep. Luckily, show more Hazel's matured past the angst of her outcast adolescence… Or has she? When a mean girl from the bad old days goes missing, Hazel's suddenly thrown back into contact with two supernaturally annoying ex-classmates. High school's back, witches. To clear each other's names, the trio of supernatural frenemies must set aside past grudges--not to mention ancient feuds and animal instinct-and learn to trust each other. Because in the cloudy, romantic beach town of Blue Moon Bay, Oregon, nearly everyone's guarding a secret. And they all involve magic. Will these three women, who usually can't stand each other, finally bond while cracking the mystery of the missing mean girl-or are they cursed to fail? If you like snarky witches and cozy paranormal mysteries, escape to the magical, sea-swept village of Blue Moon Bay. show less

The writing is very young and ideal for very young adults and teenagers. However, it is a difficult story to get into and the characters are not too well-rounded. The story is heavy with gossip and characters spying on each other, not an enjoyable read.
