Yolen wrote haiku's for 14 small beings found in nature. John Stemple's vivid photographs provide the backdrop.
This book is great because the poems and photographs go so well together. Great demonstration of how a few words can really describe the essence of something. Along with the poem are a few factual sentences that will make for smooth transitions to a science lesson. The photographs are blown up and will provide a good visual to share with a class.
