"Some Things Go Together" is a heart warming children's poetry book. Through the book it gives examples of things that naturally go together, to emphasize that "you and me" do the same. The illustrations give great emphasis to the text, and show as the little boy encounters all of the things that go together. Overall, this book is short and sweet. The rhyming gives this book an easy flow and I believe children will love to listen to/read this poetry book.

This was a short and easy rhyming book that includes lots of bright, colorful illustrations. Most of the pages have pairs of lines that rhyme and describe two things that go together. This was a very sweet poem with a playful rhythm.
Some Things Go Together is a simple picture book with just 6-7 words per scene, each with rhyming pairs that go together: "Hats with heads / Pillow with beds," "White with snow / Wind with blow," etc. "Me with you" (or "you with me") is mentioned three times. The 1999 Wolff illustrations are sweet and colorful, but I found the text awkward, and my daughter was so bored she didn't care to read it a second time (thank goodness it was a library book). (ages 1-2)
This book is a great addition to your classroom library if you are teaching the younger grades. It's a fun book that help children make a connection with objects and details. It's fun to read and the children won't even notice that it is poetry.
This was a very cute book, with beautiful illustration. This book would be a good book to introduce to kids about rhyming words, and poetry. It had simple verses with just a few lines. In the verses, it shoes the reader two things that relate to each other. (Sky with blue and me with you) Overall, very cute book!

Sweet book about pairings, especially you with me. Colorful, simple drawings. I can see a child who likes the book finishing each line.
Some Things Go Together is a simple picture book for beginner readers. Each verse is only three words. It is written in an AA rhyme scheme. All of the couplets are used to show children how things go together. For example, the author wrote, "Gardens with flowers" to show how those two things relate to one another. The simple verses and illustrations will help young children make these connections.
