I know that AIDS is a very big issue, but I had no idea people could be so *stupid* about it. In this novel, a wonderful girl gets discriminated against simply because she has AIDS. Everyone turns against her, calls her names, no one even wants to be near her; They assume that she's some horrible slut, they don't even think before they judge. It's a good book, but it was kind of an eye-opener to me, in a not-good way.
