Description

"Life is never black and white. One minute you're a struggling graphic designer in LA that's finally coming to terms with being single forever, and the next you're flying to New York in a private jet to get engaged to your ex-boyfriend's older brother. At least...that's what everyone thinks. Forced to clean up his playboy image in order to protect his company, Beckham Sinclair, the city's most eligible billionaire bachelor, wants me to be his fake fiance?e and personal assistant. Now I'm show more spending every spare second with a man I thought I'd never see again. My freshly mended heart has barely recovered from the first time a Sinclair broke it. But with each passing day, Beck's dirty mouth and lingering stares make me question his motives--and mine. As the line blurs between real and pretend, only one thing is certain: there are secrets hiding in this city full of black ties and white lies."--Back cover. show less

This was my first Kat Singleton and I was immediately drawn into this story. I really had a blast seeing how this book evolved. The vibes of this book felt very Meghan March/Katy Evans type. I was immediately captivated by the fun bantering between these two. And the setup was so fascinating. The whole hero has been in love but had a jerk of a brother he had to let have the girl he loved ...was dreamy. And the ways that he goes about fighting for her when it matters just melted my heart. Now while this book wasn't perfect, it had a fabulous turnaround. The heroine could be SO stubborn at times though. But I will say the STEAM/SPICE in this book was a bit too much. I mean we have a sex scene that is like 7 CHAPTERS long. There was no show more need for it to be this long unless it was written to be closer to erotic romance. But it just felt like too much when I was expecting a regular contemporary romance. I can see why this book is so well-loved though. It had such a sexy vibe to the romance that was beyond endearing show less
Ok, Kat you convinced me that blonde male leads can be very desirable. My new favorite name for a man is also Beck. I loved everything about him from his swagger to the way he desired Margo. The heat between them was enough to keep me warm during this cold, winter day.

The sexual chemistry between Margo and Beck just kept building and building with each scene getting more intense. I can guarantee that I will be having some really good dreams after reading this book. If you are looking for your next billionaire, fake marriage romance then you need to pick up a copy of this book.

If you need more convincing, this is how the book started and ended:

This line from early on in the book by Beck "I'd kissed her because the thought of not kissing show more her made me feel empty inside'.

The story ended with Margo saying to Beck "I love you so much my entire future looks like you."

This is my first book by Kat Singleton and I can tell you it will not be my last. A good written story is one where you can feel the emotions with the characters. When you find yourself crying with the character you know the author has done her job. The storyline was well developed and all the characters had their own personal charm. Yes even Carter. Margo and Becks story is one that all women have fantasied about. I am always a sucker for a happy ending. Enjoyable read and I highly recommend. Book #2 here I come.
The lengths a man will go to have a woman he wants. She is also his brother's ex girlfriend. False pretenses, truths, & lies fill this story of Beck & Margo. Intense at times, great sex, fun dialogue with her best friends, and an overall good story.
Really love this book, can’t wait to read more by this author.

Edit** So I just logged it into my own yearly tracker and in that tracker I rate:

On a scale of 0-10, I rarely give a book straight nines let alone 10's I gave this book close to straight 10's the only thing that if I was to critique this it would be the timing of the ending. I don't want to spoil it but I felt certain parts were a bit rushed but beyond that this book is chefs kiss I!!!
