Obsessed is the fifteenth book in the Michael Bennett series by James Patterson and James O. Born. This is a comfortable read it is a pleasure to read and there are no gory bits just a few murders.
Michael Bennett is on an NYPD boat is lifting a body out of the Hudson River and he is hoping that it is not his daughter’s friend. Fortunately, it is not, but it is another college student who will never go home. The investigation takes many twists and turns without a clear suspect. Bennett feels he has far too many questions and not enough answers and to make matters worse he is of his generation and not on top of new technology.
Grandfather, Father Seamus is still head of the family and an active parish priest at the Holy Name, he has show more managed to get Bennett to coach the girl’s basket ball team. Some how Bennett leads and trains the team with purpose and direction and at the same time keep his sanity. But it is his ten children and Mary Catherine who keep him grounded throughout.

I loved this psychological thriller. I loved Michael, Mary Catherine and their large family. I loved this wonderful story. I could not put this book down.

James Patterson was born in Newburgh, New York, on March 22, 1947. He graduated from Manhattan College in 1969 and received a M. A. from Vanderbilt University in 1970. James O. Born is an American author, born in Florida. He is a graduate of Florida State University and earned his Master's degree in psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Before becoming an author, he was a US Drug Agent (DEA) and later a Special Agent with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He worked undercover with the show more Special Operation's Team (SWAT). He has also worked as an advisor to writers and TV shows. Walking Money was his first novel, published in 2004. He is the author of Burn Zone, Field of Fire, Shock Wave and Escape Clause which won the gold medal in the inaugural Florida Book Awards, in 2007.
