I loved the ending. They got everything they wanted... but never had each other.

This was such a beautiful, emotional, second-chance romance. Touré and Niomi were close friends back at Finley College, their prestigious HBCU, and the chemistry between them was always there—unspoken, but undeniable. Life took them in different directions, both becoming successful journalists with high-profile careers. But despite having it all, something always felt unfinished.

When they're brought back to campus for homecoming, all the old feelings come rushing back. The tension, the connection, the familiarity—it all felt so real and so raw. I loved how the story explored what it means to have achieved everything you ever dreamed of, yet still feel show more like something's missing.

The narration was fantastic. Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem brought so much emotion and authenticity to the characters. They made every look, every word, and every quiet pause between Touré and Niomi feel intimate and powerful.

And that ending—wow. I loved the ending. They got everything they wanted… but never had each other. Coming home gave them a chance to rewrite that. ❤️

Highly recommend if you love second chances, deep emotional connections, and stories that celebrate Black love and legacy. show less

My Review:

'Coming Home' tells the story of Toure and Niomi as they get a second chance at love. The book wraps up on a hopeful note, with a college reunion and centennial celebration bringing everything together.

This short novel is a good pick for anyone looking for an uplifting, well-organized romance.
