Joanna Coles is the executive producer of The Bold Type on ABC's Freeform, a scripted show inspired by her life as a magazine editor. Coles was editor in chief of Cosmopolitan from 2012 to 2016, before becoming the chief content officer of Hearst Magazines, a position she held through 2018. She serves on the board of Snap, Inc.
