This was pretty good. Delaney was single, but wanted a baby. So she finds a ONS and gets herself pregnant thinking she'll never see the guy again. So imagine her surprise when the guy, Connor, shows up in her small town. When he finds out she used him, he's very angry. They have to learn to be a team for the baby's sake. Connor takes some getting used to. He has family issues that explain why he is the way he is. Delaney has her own issues she's dealing with. On paper, these two don't make much sense. And to be honest, things between them don't make much sense before the magic hand waving realization that they're in love with each other. I could have used a better bridge to that conclusion. The whole quest to get pregnant was pretty show more disturbing in the beginning. I found myself really uncomfortable by Delaney's actions. But all in all, a quick, cute read. show less
Fairly decent read. A lot of people aren't going to like it because the heroine starts out hoping to get pregnant by a one night stand not meaning to ever tell the father because she can't afford to go to a sperm bank. I didn't really have a problem with it because I understand the whole baby hunger thing and we do after all need something to hang our story on. I just wish that there had been more to them falling in love. It was sort of underwhelming. The hero held on to his anger too long and the heroine was just suddenly in love. Still it was quick and readable.
This is basically a romance novel about a woman who lives in a small town who has a very sweet nature. She wants a baby and therefore has a one night stand and as with all romance novels in the end they are happy together. It's really well written although one of the plot lines was not resolved which was frankly annoying. It seems like the author simply forgot.Too bad. I read it in like two days and I really liked the herione. The cover looks really fake for a pregnancy though!
Typical romance premise that a one-night stand leads to permanent love and romance with the hot guy or girl.
