Mandie's curiosity about how electricity and a furnace will be added to her school leads to another mystery. Despite being 13, Mandie still tries to hide things from her grandmother and other adults when she shouldn't. I feel like Mandie has not matured much over the course of this series (this is book #26). She makes the same mistakes numerous times and never seems to learn from them.
