I've had books 1-6 of this series since I was a young girl and although I haven't read them in awhile I remember really enjoying them. I found this book at a used book sale and thought it might be fun to have the last one in the series.
I don't remember the writing in the first books to be this bad. Honestly I'm sad to say the writing was really terrible. There were so many "mysteries" that turned out to be nothing. At one point Mandie makes a huge deal out of the fact that her cat is "missing". It seems like it's going to be this big mystery. They end up finding the cat a few minutes later and I kept waiting to see how this would fit with the rest of the big because it was such a big deal but it's never mentioned again. Even now that show more I've finished the book I'm still not clear on what the graduation mystery was. Was it whether or not she was going to Europe? And what about their items in their room getting moved which was never really explained.
I really did not enjoy this book and I wouldn't recommend it but I would try the first few in the series. Maybe at #40 she was just tired of writing them. show less
