Description

In 1873, Alfred Packer led twenty-one men from Utah to the gold fields of Colorado. Three months later, he returned alone. To this day, no one but Packer knows what really happened on that fateful expedition. Lone Survivor brilliantly recreates -- from Packer's unique point of view -- a tale of unforgiving terrain, of savage winter storms and dwindling food supplies, and of a desperate journey into the wilderness, where brave men died.

This was suspenseful, with a pretty good use of the unreliable narrator. Worth a read if you're into Wild West murder stories.
