Description

Anxiety and depression are now known to be inextricably linked, their traditional separation not being in the patient's best interest. In an average year, some 15% of the population will suffer from depressive illness. Unrecognized and untreated, or treated inappropriately, depression is serious and life-threatening - accurate diagnosis and prompt treatment by the general practitioner are vital.
