Description

An understanding of a wide range of medical problems was already vital in the provision of oral health care when the first edition of this book was published more than 15 years ago. Since that time the population in the developed world has aged, new diseases have contributed to an increasing cohort of persons with significant health problems who now survive longer, and some dental procedures, such as dental implants, have been introduced into clinical practice.
