Description
It is a still, humid summer morning in a peaceful coastal town. On their way to school, thirteen-year-old Meagan and her twin brother Don are preoccupied with little more than looking after their visiting cousins Lillian and Cecil, and devising new adventures for them. At 9.00 am, when they are settled in their classrooms, disaster: the town is convulsed by an earthquake. In a matter of minutes the quiet scene is transformed into a 'nightmare landscape of flickering light and desperate show more voices'. The ground splits open, buildings collapse and fires flare. But as the children attempt to make their way home through the chaos, a greater danger threatens.
