I adore Frog and Toad books because of their adventures together and the opportunity for students to discus, predict, and compare and contrast. It is also a great series about friendships.
I remember the Frog and Toad Series from when I was a kid. The book series are about the adventures of the two friends Frog and Toad. Frog is more friendly and relaxed, while Toad is more serious and kind of irritable. The illustrations are kind of old-fashioned but they do well in helping to tell the story. I think that children will be able to relate to these books because they are tales of best friends doing everything together. These books definitely teach children about the importance of friendship.
A wonderful, inviting collection. I could not put them down! Stories for the seasons detailing an endearing friendship. Children will relate and find comfort in the rhythm. Great for character and vocabulary studies. Sweet lessons on being a good friend and the importance of community.
The book "The Frog and Toad" is written by Arnold Lobel, and the book is focused on the common theme of friendship. The Frog and Toad are best friends and they go on many adventures together and bonding about their travels.
If I were to be teaching a lesson I'd use this book to show the children that people who may be different are still able to be friends and do chores and other things together.
This book is meant for children around the ages of 7-9 and grades 2nd-4th grade

I just love these stories. I identify with Toad, and sure do wish I had a friend like Frog... I wonder how well they're holding up with modern children.
I remember these great books when I was young. I don't remember this specific one, but I did enjoy it just as much. They have such suttle images with the choice of colors, but there are such details on each page. I liked the basic story line!
I could not find the specific frog and toad bok that I read on here but the whole is wonderful. In the story i read one odf the duo of frog and toad was sick. The book shows how to care fo friends without getting on that friends nerves. Lobel's website can be found at http://www.harpercollinschildrens.com and has some intresting features such as games and contests.
