Creepy and gross, this is one of Pike's best YA novels. It's a fun horror/scifi with a badass female main character. It's not as bonkers as some of his other books *cough* Scavenger Hunt *cough*, but I found the writing better than usual for his books, and the teenagers acted more their age with their language and actions.

Seemingly commenting on both pollution and alien involvement in our lives, this book is more gory and less idea-driven than other works by Pike. Fans of Pike will still like it.
