Alex and Sampson are called to Reagan airport to investigate the shooting down of a plane. They are on the trail of a man named Davis, who is a football coach at a local school and a former NFL player. It is all connected to the Maestro. Meanwhile, Bree is investigating the death of one of Jannie's friends, Iliana.
Quick read, and Ali gets involved in the crime solving. Nana Mama also has a role in this as she becomes a YouTube star!
Not the greatest, but still entertaining.
Alex Cross Must Die is the thirty-second book in the Alex Cross series by James Patterson and was first published in 2023.

Alex Cross and his partner John Sampson are running an investigation into the multiple homicides of men with no apparent connection, but the murders have the exactly the same MO. Men out running in the early hours of the day, shot in the eyes and a white sheet placed over them. They seem to be going nowhere fast, even as the killer seems to be speeding up his kills. They know one thing, the killer is very controlled and so far, has made no mistakes and left no real evidence for them to find.

While they are interviewing the partner of one of the victims, they hear an almighty bang and crash coming from Reagan National show more Airport. Then both their mobile phones start going off summoning them to the airport. They are wanted there by the chief of police and there old friend Ned Mahoney of the FBI. This time they have someone who knows how to handle firearms and not afraid to use them for mass destruction.

Both investigations are high profile and need the concentration and the skills of Alex Cross. But sometimes the people that can break a case live closer than you appreciate. Especially if it happens to be Alex’s son, who has a skill as a super recogniser.

Another brilliant Alex Cross thriller that has plenty of twists and turns.
