It’s 1968 and the setting is Atbara Avenue in a suburb on the outskirts of London. Here we meet various eclectic residents, each with their own tale to tell and some with murder on their mind. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I thought it was very cleverly written. There are eight interconnecting short stories. Some are quite sinister or darkly humorous, quite the horror story in fact, whilst others take you by surprise and make you giggle. It reminded me of Roald Dahl’s Tales of the Unexpected. There are family rifts and sibling rivalry among other relationship problems. You never know what goes on behind closed doors and neither should we judge a book by its cover. I have to say it’s not a street I would wish to live on. 😈. A show more quirky and entertaining read, it’s certainly very different and I can highly recommend giving it a go! show less
