This book includes some of the first work for heathens going through addiction. It has been expanded to include workbook exercises. Of the three heathen recovery books that I read, this one has the most dogwhistles. Many heathens may be uncomfortable with the language contained within this book.

Quotations
Just as addiction is not only a material problem, so the overcoming is not just to be found in the material realm. This is not a new realization at all and is a prime reason why so many programs or actions to defeat addiction... (show all) have a spiritual basis, for in healing and strengthening a weakened spirit, the entire "being" is strengthened. So many programs and such designed to free the individual from the thralldom of addiction have a spiritual basis. While this is good, it is not a case that one size fits all, and it has been a fact that many of OUR PEOPLE in the grip of addiction cannot resonate well with a spiritual approach which is rooted in an alien spiritual system. And so, the impulse to create a system for Odinists came into being. Exactly how and when is not really important here, what is important is that it was developed and has continued to be developed by Odinists. The presentation of this program in this format is another expression of will becoming manifest in the world of form, and the following 9 step program is an act of uniting the various components both material and immaterial to create a holistic system and practice which resonates with those under taking it. It is pleasing to see this formalized booklet containing the program now manifesting in the material realm. So for those who are afflicted by the blight of addiction, this can be the path to soberiety and a deeper and more productive life...and in overcoming the Jotun of addiction, it is a hailing of the High Ones and upward evolution for the individual and resonates wider yet.
