Black Royce was a fledgling Master new to his powers, when he watched his wife suffer at the hands of the formidably evil Kael. For centuries he travels back to this horrible time and place reliving the pain and immense grief, silently wishing that he could change the past. It was while he was on one of these journeys that he suddenly hears a woman's voice begging and pleading with him to find her. It is the year 2007... I really enjoy this new Masters of Time series. Picked up the last of the series while on vacation, and read it in a day! This is a fun quick read, ( )

Really?! I got to page 187 and felt like vomiting. For 187 pages Allie throws herself at Royce insisting that he be in love with her. It made me sick to my stomach that a woman would lower herself to do such a thing. My ass would have said, "See Ya." and headed back to my own time via Mr. Hottie Aiden. I've put the book down for now. Maybe after the nausea abates I'll consider revisiting it. I think the idea of the story is good but the execution Seriously Sucks. ( )

This book was the second one in the Masters of Time series and I liked it better than the first one. I loved Royce, again sexy, alpha-male highland warrior (what's not to love). He is so tortured (love this kind of hero) and the sex scenes are hot, hot, hot. The heroine Allie was a bit annoying and a little too pushy in this novel. Otherwise looking forward to book 3. ( )
