Seeds of Mercury

This story mixed what was happening on Mercury and what led to that, about a variety of lives lived with different motivations and a lot of science, almost too much detail about how things are developed, I think that I found myself unable to really feel for anyone in the story. It was interesting and full of ideas but I didn't really care enough about what was going on. Honestly I think I would have proffered it longer or shorter but it wasn't the best of the offerings for the Novella.
This story has a lot of ideas, but they all seem a bit far-fetched and over simplistic to my tastes, which may be lack of familiarity with the genres of the author.
Odd. Artificial life seeded on Mercury. Rather Darwin vs organised religion.
