Good story about a beautiful doberman that got lost and severely injured in the Sequoia National Forest in California. Max was able to survive for 3 weeks without any real food or water and many broken bones and sores. It shows the will of the animal to get back to his family and the love of the family to not give up on him either. It is a true story, a quick enjoyable read.
This book is really, really sad. I hate that it is a true story because I feel so bad that a dog had to go through all that :(
