4.5⭐️ Its a hello and a goodbye all in one.
If you've read the rest of the windy city series this was the final touch to wrap it up. One thing that I loved in the series is that each book and couple you journey with continues to grow with the next. The focus shifts but the relationships grow. Rio and Hallie were both the beginning and the end, the first puzzle piece and the final one. Theres found family, broken family, and family struggles.
I enjoyed my ride with this series and it'll live fondly in my memory. Rio and Hallie were endgame, boy/girl next door, 2nd chance romance. There were minor aspects that were meh but overall chefs kiss. I dont know which couple will be my favorite but I enjoyed each one and truly the growth of show more the group. show less

Book 5 in the Windy City series.
What a beautiful way to end the series. Since book 1 i wanted to know more about Rio. He was such a great background character that i was so excited to finally get his story.
From childhood sweethearts to enemies back to lovers. I Loved everything this book gave. Hallie has to be my favorite FMC from this series. She succeeded all on her own. And when they had their confessions to each other my heart melted for them.
So sad the Windy City has come to an end.

Hallie accidentally takes a renovation job for her friend, Wren's next door neighbor. Little does she know that the neighbor is the one person in Chicago she had been avoiding for years, Rio. When Rio realizes that Hallie is the person who is going to be renovating his house, he balks at the idea and tries to back out, but his hockey career keeps him so busy, that he doesn't really have time to look for anybody else. Hallie is desperate for money and begs Rio to allow her to keep the job, and it isn't long before their feelings for each other begin to reappear.
Rewind it Back is a nice story about two people who let misunderstandings dictate their love lives for years before finding each other again. The story moves at a slow pace, show more allowing the two main characters to get to know one another again, but it is just a bit to easy which slows the plot quite a bit. Also, the only real conflict doesn't come until almost the end of the book, which left me feeling pretty bored for most of the novel. Overall, Rewind it Back is an easygoing story to end the Windy City series that needed more humor, drama, and conflict. show less

Reading through my Kindle Unlimited list.
These books are always very long, but go by pretty quickly.
Decent for a second chance romance, which is not my favorite trope.

There’s just something about this series. Healthy love, emotionally mature men, incredible spice, shocking third act reveals, & the most biting-my-fist-holding-back-tears adorable moments.
Ugh love love love!!! I hope she has other series!!
