Josefina wants to compete for the reward for collecting the most pinon nuts, but most of all for Tia Dolores’ respect. She thinks she hasn’t got a chance when she is put in charge of Ana’s son, Jaun. They follow a squirrel and collect the most nuts, and, though the prize of a sugar cone is taken by the squirrel, Josefina’s cleverness win’s her aunt’s admiration. ( )
